This course is a basic introduction to music fundamentals. Students learn notation, rhythmic patterns, melodic patterns, and harmonic progressions. Analysis of musical textures and forms, ear training, and sight-reading are included. Music Theory I is a 3 credit concurrent enrollment class with Tompkins Cortland Community College. There is no fee for this course. The final grade will become part of your permanent college transcript.
