At last night's Unatego Board of Education meeting, the Board unanimously voted to award the rights to purchase the former Otego Elementary School to Oneonta Christian Academy, a PK-12 educational institution currently located on River St. in the City of Oneonta. The Board accepted their offer following a second round of a Request for Proposals (RFP). Oneonta Christian was one of three proposals for the building which closed in August 2017. The agreed upon purchase price was $100,000.

Unatego welcomes Oneonta Christian Academy to the district and hopes for a long and mutually beneficial relationship for area children.
