The Unatego Hall of Distinction Committee has selected two alumni to be honored for induction this year. This year’s inductees include an accomplished physician who is currently a Director of Emergency Medicine from the Class of 1983 and a public servant from the Class of 2003 who has served with distinction as a Paramedic and State Trooper.
The Unatego Hall of Distinction honors graduates of Unatego,
or from the previous districts of Unadilla Central and Otego Central, who have
distinguished themselves through recognition, honor and distinction during
their lives.
Formal induction into the Hall will be at a later date.
Ilse Jenouri
Dr. Jenouri, a 1983 Unatego grad, has degrees from Union College SUNY Health Science Center at Syracuse, where she earned her M.D. in 1994. Following her residency at the Rhode Island Hospital, she served as Attending Physician at several New England area hospitals. She currently serves as the Medical Director of Emergency Medicine at Miriam Hospital in Providence, RI and is also a Clinical Professor of Emergency Medicine at Brown University. She is the recipient of multiple awards for excellence in medicine and teaching. Dr. Jenouri is also the author of multiple journal articles and is a frequent presenter at medical conferences. In addition to her recognized awards and accomplishments, she has demonstrated “…amazing leadership, community service, [and] academic achievement…” throughout her distinguished career.
Joshua Greenman
Following his graduation from Unatego, Josh earned a degree in Emergency Medical Services Management from Springfield College and a Master’s in Criminal Justice from Tiffin University. After several years as a paramedic-EMT, Investigator Greenman moved to Maryland where he completed the State Police Academy, earning the highest academic average in his class. After three years of exemplary service in Maryland, Josh returned to New York State and became a Trooper in 2012. He was subsequently promoted to Investigator five years later and attained the permanent rank of Sergeant in 2018. He was responsible for developing an Active Shooter Awareness training for educators across New York, and has present at numerous schools across the state. In 2018, Investigator Greenman was nominated for an award for preventing a school shooting in Broome County, and in November of that year was awarded as Investigator of the Year by the Federal Law Enforcement Foundation. Josh also serves as president of the Unadilla Recreational Development Corporation and as a paramedic for the Unadilla Emergency Squad. He is currently stationed at Troop C in Sidney where he is a member of the Major Crimes Unit.
