Message to the School Community from the Superintendent during the State of Emergency-Updated April 1-Click for more details

By order of the Governor, Unatego is now closed through April 14. We do not know if we will reopen at that time or if the closure will be extended indefinitely. We will continue operations as best as possible during this difficult time. Instruction will continue as our dedicated teachers and staff work from home. Buildings will be staffed on Mondays with clerical and administrative staff. Maintenance personnel will be operating on a rotating schedule as will bus drivers. We have modified our feeding program to provide multiple days of breakfasts and lunches to any youth 18 years of age or younger. Meals may be picked up in Otego at the former elementary school or at the Elementary School in Unadilla from 11:00 to 12:30 on Mondays and Thursdays only. If it is not possible to go to one of the pick-up locations, meals will be delivered to your home. If you need to arrange meal delivery on Mondays and Thursdays, call the District Office at 607-988-5038. Effective this week, all offices will be closed on Fridays for the remainder of the closure period.

You will be receiving further information from your child’s building principal within the next few days as we prepare to venture deeper into the world of distance learning for what could be an extended period of time.

In the meantime, stay home if possible. Avoid group gatherings and maintain social distancing (6 feet apart at all times). Wash your hands frequently (for 20 seconds) with soap and warm water. We remain committed to continuing to provide instruction, meals, and child care for essential workers for the duration of the closure. Stay safe and be well!
